What Sets CareerReady! Apart?
  • Measurable Results: We boost students’ confidence to conduct job searches and prepare students to participate in activities which reduce social isolation. Tangible credentials include a polished resume and certificate of completion.
  • Self-Advocacy: Our Disability Advocacy course empowers students to create a self-advocacy plan which means knowing your skills, advocating for yourself, and taking charge of your career.
  • Professional Mentorship: Students value connecting with trusted professionals with multigenerational workforce experience.
  • Co-generational Networking: Integrating students from multiple campuses into one cohort bridges disability communities and enhances networking. Attendees at courses, mentoring labs, and panels span multiple generations.

Disability 4 Impact

Our disability awareness program aims to reduce the stigma often experienced by students living with disabilities, especially on campus and in the workplace.   Students with disabilities are enrolling in college at increasing rates. This under-represented population in higher education faces challenges when entering the workforce, including the lack of job search skills. This interactive program for Mentors and Instructors focuses on disability disclosure, etiquette, and attitudes.
